Biographical note: History enthusiast; Charles McKoy Clark came to Arizona in 1872 as a telegraph operator. He worked as a merchant, postmaster, newspaper publisher and in mining in Globe, Arizona, and developed a Canyon Lake resort on the Apache Trail near Phoenix. In 1882 he was appointed postmaster of Clifton and elected justice of the peace. In 1923, he was elected president of the Arizona Pioneer Association and organized and participated in their annual pioneer reunions in Phoenix until hi...
